In an emergency, like an active shooter on school grounds or natural disaster, agencies need to be able to effectively partner and share information quickly, at HQ and in the field. The Concord Police Department used Peregrine to coordinate with neighboring agencies during a serial bank robbery investigation. After securing a warrant, personnel plotted mobile phone location data on a map, layered in officer locations and ALPR data, and shared the map across jurisdictions while maintaining appropriate privacy and security permissions. The shared view helped collaborating agencies make informed decisions and apprehend the suspect.

It’s not always so simple. When one customer was involved with a case going to trial, the detective would print out the request, copy it three times, load it into their car along with a hard disk of the body-worn camera footage, drive it to the district attorney’s office, wait in line to give the disks and paperwork to a clerk, and then drive back to work.
